The seven bars competing on the Plantation Rum Cup finals throughout Sydney Bar Week


AMAZING BARS, BARTENDERS AND COCKTAILS ARE IN WITH A CHANCE TO WIN A TRIP TO BARBADOS!

There was an impressive response to the 2022 Plantation Rum Cup with over 90 rigorously crafted entries.  Now could be the time so that you can head to your favourite bar and luxuriate in their scrumptious Plantation Rum Cup cocktails because the finalist groups put together to compete within the grand closing.

The Plantation Rum Cup is the bar staff competitors of 2022 and was open to everybody within the hospitality trade – from bartenders to cooks, bar backs and hosts – any Bar Staff excelling in creating memorable experiences. These groups will now compete with the winners strolling away with the World’s first Plantation Rum Cup trophy and a staff journey to Barbados to go to the West Indies Rum Distillery!

Congratulations to the seven finalists throughout Australia and New Zealand.

18th Modification in Geelong with their cocktail ‘Breakfast with Pierre’ is crafted by Gorge Camorra, owner-operator of the Camorra Group/Venue proprietor of The 18th Modification Bar and Bartender Tim Arnott. ‘Breakfast with Pierre’ is a twist on an Outdated Long-established, incorporates Plantation Authentic Darkish and Plantation Barbados Rums while paying homage to the delivery of Plantation.

Adam Wooden, Normal Supervisor and Rockstar Supervisor Lakhdeep Singh from Mr. Brightside Rooftop Bar in Christchurch, New Zealand have created the ‘Dreadlock Vacation’ cocktail. This tropical quantity combines Plantation Authentic Darkish, Plantation Stiggin’s Fancy Pineapple and Plantation 3 Stars White Rums.

Pineapple on Parnell from Auckland, New Zealand shall be represented within the closing with their cocktail ‘The Brass Pineapple 2.07’. Bar Supervisor Kieran Pitt,  Venue Supervisor Dario Dragotta and Jarred Coleman Proprietor-Operator of the venue shall be heading over to Sydney to showcase their cocktail that includes Plantation Stiggin’s Fancy Pineapple and Plantation Barbados Rums.

Santé Cocktail Bar in Toowoomba shall be presenting their cocktail ‘Bonbonnet’ on the finals. It’s a tight staff at Santé with proprietor, operator and bartender Loic Mouchelin being joined by co proprietor, operator, ground supervisor and host Alexandra. The staff have been impressed by the traditional Sazerac and have showcased Plantation Xaymaca Particular Dry and Plantation Authentic Darkish Rums of their cocktail together with a home made banana and pineapple pores and skin oleo.

Bar director Andrea Marseglia and head bartender Josh Loman shall be representing Teresa Cocktail Bar from Napier on the north island of New Zealand with their cocktail ‘The Boccioni’s Punch’. Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum has been enhanced by a contact of yuzu vinegar and garnished with a espresso and shiitake cloud.

The ‘Drunken Owl’ by the staff at The Howling Owl in Adelaide will current their reinvention of the Pina Colada, ultising a home made syrup base of leftover pineapple skins, citrus and rinds to cut back venue meals waste. Plantation 3 Stars White Rum was the selection of bar supervisor Kiren Vythilingam and bartenders Kara Bailey and Teegan Duke for his or her entry.

Iconic Sydney rum bar The Lobo have made the finals with the rum ahead ‘XOXO’ cocktail mixing Plantation Authentic Darkish, Plantation OX twentieth Anniversary Version and Plantation Outdated Long-established Conventional Darkish Rums.
