Head Bartender Alex Barbatsis of The Whistler has created a cocktail impressed by the 1987 cult basic. “I got down to make a ingesting expertise with sufficient whimsy to rival that of the film, whereas nonetheless having a definite character arc as you sip. The violet liqueur provides an enormous fragrant bouquet on high after which mixes into the cocktail as you drink it, altering the colour and the flavour from grassy and tropical to floral and shiny,” says Alex. As You Want
Substances:
- 1 1/2 oz Mezcal
- 1/2 oz Sotol
- 1/2 oz Benedictine Honey Liqueur
- 3/4 oz Lemon
- 1/2 oz Orgeat
- .3 oz Creme de Violette
Preparation: Add all components apart from creme de violette to Collins glass and fill with crushed ice. Swizzle till effectively mixed and float the creme de violette on high.
